Lake Forest Exterior Makeover

The Homeowners wanted to change the bad Brady Bunch look of their 1970s home. The exterior was dark with very little detail and poorly insulated as well. They were prepared to have the brick painted a lighter color, but they needed a more comprehensive solution.

  • The siding and soffits were removed and the house was insulated from the outside.
  • Fiber cement siding in a warm earthtone color with contrasting trim boards was installed.
  • The simple 4×4 posts supporting the front porch roof were replaced with substantial square PVC columns with raised panel detail.
  • The living room box bay window was enhanced with a standing seam copper roof.

The Elevations design team created a nicely updated look by using more vibrant color and some quality architectural elements.
